The glass cleaning machine is a specialized equipment used for cleaning and drying the surface of glass before deep processing procedures such as mirror making, vacuum coating, tempering, bending, and assembling hollow glass. Once damaged, it requires expensive labor costs for repairs. So, what methods can we use for maintenance and repair ourselves on a regular basis?

The glass cleaning machine is a specialized equipment for cleaning and drying the surface of glass before deep processing procedures such as mirror making, vacuum coating, tempering, thermal bending, and hollow glass assembly. Once damaged, it requires expensive labor costs for repairs. So, what methods can we use for maintenance and repair ourselves?

1. Lubrication of the cleaning machine

To prevent excessive wear leading to gear failure, the cleaning machine must be properly lubricated. Use plastic sheets to isolate the parts that need lubrication from the cleaning area to avoid grease contamination. Lubricate the contact surfaces of the chain, gears, drive shaft chain rollers, and chain plates. Ensure that the drive chain and roller track are evenly lubricated. Wipe off excess grease with a clean cotton cloth.

2. Calibration of the conveyor roller track

The lower roller track of the cleaning machine is driven by the drive shaft and gear system, and it needs to be regularly checked for bearing and horizontal and vertical levels. For the upper roller track, we add fixed end block clamps and regularly measure height changes, corresponding to calibrate or replace bearings to adjust the pressing force of the rollers.

3. Adjustment of brush height

The entrance cleaning machine mainly cleans the surface of the glass sheets through three rows of a total of 132 brushes, while adding liquid polishing agents to ensure effective grinding of the glass surface and removal of stubborn stains. To ensure effective rolling and scrubbing of the brushes on the glass surface, the height of the brushes needs to be regularly lowered as the brush bristles wear out, to ensure cleaning quality.
